Restore Your Smile with a Custom Dental Bridge

A missing tooth affects more than just your smile. It can change how you bite, chew, and speak over time. It can cause neighboring teeth to shift out of position. A dental bridge fills that gap with a custom-made replacement tooth, anchored securely by the natural teeth or implants on either side. At Rollstone Family Dental, we design every bridge to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth, restoring full function along with a natural, confident appearance.

We provide dental bridges for patients across Fitchburg, Leominster, Lunenburg, Townsend, Ashburnham, and Ayer who are missing one or more teeth and looking for a reliable, fixed solution. Whether you've recently lost a tooth or have been living with a gap for years, our team will walk you through your options clearly and build a bridge that fits comfortably and restores your confidence in your smile.

Dental Bridge Options Available at Rollstone Family Dental

We offer several types of dental bridges, each suited to different situations depending on the location of the gap, the condition of surrounding teeth, and your specific needs. During your consultation, we'll recommend the option that best fits your situation.
  • Traditional Fixed Bridge - The most common type, using crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap to anchor a replacement tooth in between. A strong, reliable, and time-tested solution.
  • Cantilever Bridge - Used when there is only one natural tooth adjacent to the gap, anchoring the replacement tooth from a single side rather than both.
  • Maryland Bridge - A more conservative option that uses a metal or porcelain framework bonded to the back of adjacent teeth, rather than full crowns, often used for front teeth.
  • Implant-Supported Bridge - Anchored by dental implants rather than natural teeth, this option is ideal for replacing multiple consecutive missing teeth without affecting healthy adjacent teeth.

1

Comprehensive Exam & X-Rays

We begin with a thorough exam and digital X-rays to evaluate the gap left by your missing tooth or teeth, along with the health and strength of the surrounding teeth that will support the bridge. This tells us whether a bridge is the right solution for your specific situation.

2

Preparing the Abutment Teeth

The teeth on either side of the gap, known as abutment teeth, are reshaped to support crowns that will anchor the bridge in place. We use local anesthesia to keep you fully comfortable throughout this step.

3

Impression & Temporary Bridge

We take a precise impression of the prepared teeth and surrounding gap, which is used to fabricate your custom permanent bridge. While your permanent bridge is being made, we place a temporary bridge to protect the area and allow you to eat and speak comfortably in the meantime.

4

Custom Bridge Fabrication

Your bridge is custom-made to match the shape, size, and shade of your surrounding teeth, ensuring the replacement tooth or teeth blend naturally with your smile. We select the bridge material best suited to the location of the gap and the bite forces it will need to withstand.

5

Final Fitting & Placement

At your follow-up visit, we remove the temporary bridge and carefully check the fit, bite, and appearance of your permanent bridge before securing it in place. We make any necessary adjustments to ensure it feels completely natural and functions properly with your bite.

6

Aftercare & Long-Term Maintenance

We'll provide specific guidance on cleaning beneath and around your new bridge. A step that's important for protecting both the bridge and the supporting teeth. With proper care and regular checkups, a well-made bridge can last 10 to 15 years or longer.

I can’t say enough about this office! I have such a phobia with the dentist, and everyone here has been so friendly and gentle from the minute I walked in! They are flexible and got my appointment moved up, they are fairly priced, and just overall an amazing practice! Seriously can’t recommend Dr. Mark and team enough especially if you are a baby when it comes to dental work! Both Gabrielle and his other assistance were both great as well! Such a good experience compared to past ones I have had.

The office is clean and modern, and everything was explained to me clearly throughout the process. Gabriel (sp?) and Dr. Mark were very kind and patient I really appreciated the attention to detail and the care I received. Looking forward to continuing my dental care here—highly recommend!

Tanya was awesome. I am afraid of dentists and she made it a very comfortable visit. Also when I went in for the dental work ( I am petrified of dentists) it was amazing. Dr. Mark was kind and gentle, and Gabriel was so good he even helped me with my internet (So I could listen to music to take my mind off of the fillings).
I would highly recommend this office.
Thank you

Great top notch service, Dr. Mark is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Tori did a great job with the cleaning! Very delicate yet very efficient. Have gone to this location for quite a while and I will continue to go here. Also all other staff especially the girl at the front desk (sorry I forgot the name) are excellent and very welcoming. Keep up the good work!
